About Me

I am The Reverend Roger Barker, a former Vicar of the Parish of Port Chalmers-Warrington. I am now retired and live with my wife Trish in Waikouaiti, but we continue worshipping at St Barnabas.

"Notes for Reflection" on this blog are based on the weekly readings set for the coming Sunday in The Lectionary.

I offer occasional teaching in small groups, with particular emphasis on spiritual practices. With a background in law, I have a keen interest in apologetics, and am particularly interested in the interface between science and the Christian faith, topics which are often referred to in the Notes.
